A revised and updated version of the U.S. House Committee Votes dataset is available at the link below. This data is available for non-commercial use, and currently extends from the 104th-118th Congresses. The process for updating the more recent congresses (115th through 118th) has changed. The working paper will be updated soon to reflect this new process. Contact Josh Ryan with any questions, suggestions, or corrections.
See the attached working paper for additional details on the dataset. A codebook is included in Appendix B.

I have updated committee votes through the 118th Congress. The first file below contains votes from the 104th through 115th in the format previously used. The second file contains votes for the 116th through the 118th. This data is structured slightly differently because the Stewart committee votes data is no longer being updated. Instead, I have merged these data with the NOMINATE data and hand-coded members as chairs or ranking members.
This version: November 1, 2022. December 2, 2022 November 19, 2025 (updated to include the 115th through 118th Congresses).
